About Bachatero
We're on a mission to connect the global dance community. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned dancer, Bachatero helps you find socials wherever your travels take you. From bachata and salsa nights in your home city to socials in a country you've never visited, our goal is to make finding a place to dance as easy as opening an app.
Bachatero started in 2026 after several trips abroad playing detective via Google, Reddit, and Instagram just to find a local social. We wanted to build a space not only to keep track of your favorite dance floors around the world, but to help others effortlessly find their next place to dance. What began as an extensive collection of google map lists of quickly turned into something bigger: a shared map that any dancer could contribute to and rely on, no matter where their travels or their two left feet took them. Every social, venue, and city on Bachatero is added by real dancers who want the next person to have an easier time finding a floor than they did.

Developer by day, dancer by night. Here to combine both passions by connecting people through Latin dance socials around the world. I built the first version of Bachatero to solve my own problem: showing up in a new city with no idea where to dance that night. Turning that frustration into a tool other dancers could use has been the most rewarding project I've worked on.
